I think that Illustrator is going to be difficult at first, after getting used to the program and being able to play around with different tools it is going to make it easier. Having the control panel at the right of the screen makes it easier to select which of the most common tools you would like to use. The layer panel looks interesting because you can unlock/lock and preview the layer. The rectangle tool will be helpful because you choose t and draw the rectangle.

Using Illustrator is easier than Dreamweaver. Illustrator is more user-friendly. Having the ability to draw whichever shape you want just by clicking a button is easier than coding and finding out the location. illustrator supplies you with different options that make your life easier. Being able to do a rectangle or coloring different shapes with a click of a button is more convenient than going shape by shape and selecting the color you want.
